I actually sold cars at a Honda dealership for 2 years, way before SOC (97-99). I was one of the only salespeople who ALWAYS sent a thank you card to EVERY person I talked to EVERY day, and I can’t tell you how many people would come in saying something to the effect of , ” I went to 10 dealerships, you’re the ONLY one who sent me a card, that’s why I’m buying from you.” There were literally cases of these cards provided by the dealership, who also paid the postage, and 98% of the guys in the dealership were too lazy to do it.
As to ideas for picture plus (a feature of our Send-A-Card), you can adapt what I do with my mortgage clients. How much more effective will the thank you note from the salesperson be if there is a photo of the buyer next to his brand new car on the day of delivery inside of it
? Think that might generate a referral or two?
