A Testimony of Satisfaction

Comments, Inspirational Stories
Sandy,

Just wanted to let you know that I really like the SOC card software. I recently sent out a card to a relative for his 60th birthday. By adding my own pictures, I could make it special.  Due to these pictures and the personal greetings, he’s keeping his card on his desk.  I don’t think he usually does that.

So thanks for the great gift of being able to customize my cards.

A Time of Giving

Inspirational Stories, Sandy Morgan

We are in the Giving season of the year for all people. While sending the last of my Holiday cards,  I reflected on the Principle of Giving.

The Principle of Giving says that every thing that you give out will come back to you 10 fold. By giving with a open heart, not expecting anything in return, amazing things will start happening to you.  This is a Law of the Universe. Chills are going up and down my spine as I write these words!

Just imagine for a moment…. Little things like a smile, a  hug that says “I love you” or  a “thank you” to say “I appreciate you”. These gestures come from your heart, which is TRUE giving!

So celebrate this Season with a real Spirit of Giving , even though times may be trying and you may not  be able to give as in the past. May the Love, Blessing and Joy take hold of you in this Season of Giving, carrying you into the New Year~!

I am embracing 2010 with  a renewed gusto!

Spring Brings Fresh Starts & Another Holiday ~ Jan Snook

Comments, Inspirational Stories, Internet Tools, Jan Snook

Spring came in like a lion this year for a majority of us in the USA. Guess Mother Nature didn’t think we  are ready for Daffodils just yet. Do we need to reflect a bit more on where we are as individuals and where we want to be?

One of our colleagues, Meghan Joy was just voted off American Idol this week. Simon told her it was because she had commented that she didn’t care. Sandy thinks Meghan cared a lot; a lot about her style of singing. Perhaps Meghan discovered that she wanted to sing her songs, her way. If that meant leaving Idol, so be it.

We do know that the freshness of another season is on it’s way. Are we ready to take a  look at our lives and evaluate whether we need to take a fresh start or a slight detour?

That can begin by reaching out to others. Easter is just a week away! Did you send out those cards yet or did you forget to buy them? We have your answer right here! No need to go to the store now. Just click on  http://greetingcardschangelives.com

Does Your CEO/Boss Do This? ~ Sandy Morgan

Business Building, Comments, Inspirational Stories, Sandy Morgan

Upgrading our card editor, like  upgrading/changing anything in life, hasn’t come without a few bumps and quirks. That goes without saying, right? From these unexpected challenges comes learning and understanding, the result being a better product or service!

I want to share with you the actions of our CEO when discovering a glitch that affected some card senders who’s cards did not get sent. In my case, I received  an email from the CEO, listing those  that didn’t  receive my cards. He went on to say that each one of those people would receive a personal card of apology from him, including a gift. Also, our personal accounts were reimbursed double that which was spent sending those cards!

Again, I ask you, would your boss do this?

Me Retire……Never! ~ Jan Snook

Comments, Creative Cards, Independence, Inspirational Stories, Jan Snook

Wednesday, November 5th was 5 months to the day I made my retirement official on June 5th being my final day working for “PEP”!!  “People Enhancing People,” as its proper name is a nonprofit organization, assisting others having various disabilities to obtain quality personal care assistants. This unique organization was started by a physically disabled couple very close to me.  I watched and assisted in its creation, with Jim and Claudia Carlisle being awarded a nice grant, allowing their dream to become a reality in July of 2003. Susan Beaulieu, a former “PCA” for the Carlisles was the 3rd original person to help develop this dream.  Susan is also a good friend to me, as her mom remains one of my long-time and very dear friends from high school!!I have talked about “friendship” from time to time, and the importance it stands for.  The Carlisle’s had given me the chance to continue working when I faced a devastating down-sizing and lay-off in 2000 from a health care facility which I was employed for over 22 years.  It is difficult to even imagine a person having a physical disability would find herself living a nightmare of being let go after working for so long.  Stress hit me with all the worries of: “What now?” “How do I survive?” “What about my house mortgage?”Well, I did survive!  Though – another full time, competitive job was not meant to be!  I was blessed with many friends and family with many good suggestions! One, being to pursue the early retirement possibility!  However, I sure faced opposition ~ let me tell ya!  I ended up writing letters, appearing before the “Board” of the Retirement System, and finally speaking on my own behalf before the Legislature. You can only imagine how nerve-wracking that was!  But guess what?  Fourteen months after being on this long, agonizing road, I won!

Jim and Claudia Carlisle have been good friends for such a long time, and asked me to assist with typing for Jim; he has had his accounting business for 40+ years; plus working towards to create a nonprofit organization to assist others having disabilities needing quality assistance to live independently.

Working on that dream for them required one-on-one typing for Jim.  I volunteered at first.  I loved helping out.  The grant proposal took extensive time to be developed.  Finally Jim was pleased with it, and he submitted the proposal.  They received word they would be awarded the grant!  What a very happy day that was!  I continued helping and eventually was offered a part-time position!I experienced the rewarding feeling of helping others receive quality care…  PEP is PCA Choice Provider also known as a Fiscal Intermediary. I was given the opportunity of working in the payroll department and knowing many of the incredible office staff.PEP has grown from the small dream to a very successful company since the day it began its operation in July, 2003!  My respect and best wishes for PEP will always remain in my heart!

The photo is of Dana, PEP’s Billing and Payroll Manager and myself at my retirement picnic held this past July.

PEP has been a big supporter of the greeting cards; for this I am extremely grateful! Thanks, “PEP” for everything!

My retirement has now given me the time to do what I love best! Writing is my passion.  I have written a “Computer Help Guide Book” as well as other material.    Sharing a business partnership with Sandy is fabulous!  Our Blog continues to grow.  It’s my hope you are are able to see my desire to touch so many of you with our cards.  This is why I continue to show some of my favorite custom cards.

It IS all about friendship and wanting to give to others.  I am blessed with the cards and remain thankful Sandy kept nudging me to try it.  I urge you to give it a test drive at http://www.sendoutcards.com/3721

“Success From Home” Inspired Me to Keep Sending Cards! ~ Jan Snook

Biography, Comments, Creative Cards, In the News, Independence, Inspirational Stories, Internet Tools, Jan Snook, Sending Cards

For several weeks the October’s issue of Success from Home has been on your local magazine racks in bookstores and other popular places.  The entire issue featured Send Out Cards throughout the magazine.

This magazine shows so many good points of the ways of sending an unexpected card, just as we have done with our Blog.  What excites me the most was when I read the articles from Joel Osteen, well-known minister seen on television, as well as Jack Canfield, well-known author for the numerous books of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul”.

Both Mr. Osteen and Mr. Canfield continue to touch so many people, as well as for me with their books!  So to see their testimony in this Magazine only makes me that more determine to reach others with greeting cards.

Joel Osteen writes how important it is to encourage others, and to make a difference for them.  While we may not realize, there is always someone who needs some kind of encouragement; whether it is a kind word; a silly card to make someone laugh; or a important statement to encourage someone experiencing a serious illness.

I like the statement I read from Mr. Osteen in his article.  He gave an example of a teacher doing an exercise in her class: It showed her students that… “If you want your life to get better then you need to improve someone else’s life.”  The students understood the lesson of how important it is to show people that we all care for each other!  This is exactly what we try to relay to others to feel when we send an unexpected card!

If you happen to get this magazine, you were able to read the article from Jack Canfield.  He had very good points to motivate employees at work.  Among the top suggestions was “Appreciation”!  Again, this ties right in with what Sandy and I are striving for. We truly believe greeting cards have delivered this to those we write to…  We know our independence has continued with so much encouragement for others that know us!  We are so grateful for the ongoing support.

Success From Home featured stories from friends and fellow Team Members…  Each article is very interesting!  So, if you can, get a copy or let me know you want one, and I’ll send you one!

Writing is a huge asset we both share.  We rely on each other for support and advice.  Feedback is another topic Mr. Canfield talks about.  Sandy will agree we depend so much on the feedback we receive from one another, as well as when we receive a call or an email from someone who has received a card from us.

Just a couple days ago I received a phone call from my friend, Jamie. A few weeks ago she had told me she became “Great Auntie” again!  Jamie was so proud of this new little Bundle of Joy!  So I asked her to send me a photo via email.  To surprise her, I created a Picture Plus Postcard, and sent it to her.  Jamie was so thrilled when it arrived in her mailbox!  She called that same night to thank me.  I just wanted to make her day and give her an unexpected surprise!

www.jansfreecard4u.com will take you to the website for you to send a greeting card.  What better time to try it out!  The holidays are right around the corner!

Relationship Habit ~ by Dan Robey

Comments, Dan Robey, Inspirational Stories, Sandy Morgan, Sending Cards

I, Sandy, purchased Dan Robey’s book, “The Power of Positive Habits”. Along with the book I receive daily positive habits to improve my life. The following habits fits so well with this blog, I felt compelled to share it with you.

Give Your Loved One Greeting Cards on a Regular Basis

Benefits

Here is another good habit for men to acquire. Most men hate the idea of giving cards, but author Barbara De Angelis, Ph.D., an expert on relationships says “Think of cards as foreplay.” She also says, “Every survey response I received contained a reference to cards.”

It is apparent that women love cards, so make it a habit to give them regularly. Get creative: you can give her romantic cards, funny cards, you can even make up a card. Your benefits from this habit will be quite obvious. Try it and see.

Triggers

Buy an assortment of greeting cards and keep them in the glove compartment of your car or a desk drawer at work.

Great habit, right? I have a few additions to make this habit universal for all people!

  1. Receiving a card is like receiving an unexpected call/visit from a long lost friend
  2. Sending an impromptu card makes you feel good as well as the recipient of that card. Without knowing it, some of my cards have helped the recipient make a decision, heal or feel less alone
  3. In business, greeting cards build those relationships that you want with your clients, create referrals, allowing you business to grow!

If you’ve been reading this blog regularly, you are aware that you don’t need a glove compartment full of cards to easily form this habit. You can sign up at http://www.sandysendfreecard.com and get an account to send cards in 60 seconds from your computer!

An Email Worth Sharing! (from Virginia LaBelle)

Comments, Inspirational Stories, Sending Cards
This came through my emails and when I saw it, I thought of you! You are always so cheery that I love to talk with you as you always make my day!

V
———–
Every time you experience joy, there is one less person feeling pain. Each time you spread joy to another, the positive power of that joy begins to multiply.

There is no limit to how far and wide the joy can spread when you send it out beyond you. There is no telling what goodness will eventually result when you choose to nurture and send forth joy from your life.

To be truly joyful is not a self-centered pursuit. It is one of the most generous things you can do.

For your joy is infectious. The more sincerely you love life, the better life becomes for all those who come near you.

The joy you know will go out beyond you, out into a world where it will truly make a difference. Each moment lived in joy is a brilliance that can light the deepest darkness.
Give your heart the experience of joy. And that joy will expand far beyond you.

The Power of Appreciation ~ by Sandy Morgan

Comments, Inspirational Stories, Sandy Morgan, Sending Cards

This post was made by Sylvia Hill to a Yahoo Group we are both in. She was discussing the great power in showing appreciation to those around you. A simple smile to a passer-by can change the mood, even the life of that person!

I responded with: I love your post, Sylvia! Being in appreciation and Gratitude throughout each day creates a greater awareness of all that’s going on around you.

I am in a business that fosters the showing of gratitude and appreciation, sending impromptu cards. By doing this, you lift the Spirit of your recipients plus your Spirit is lifted because you are sending Appreciation/Gratitude into the Universe.

Sylvia’s responded with: Sandy ~
how wonderful to hear from You! Thanks for your reply. I so agree that being thankful and expressing it is a tremendous gift to ourselves and others and that the key is being aware of all there is to be thankful for.
Truly I get overwhelmed sometimes at the beauty all around me and taking it all in….. the people…. nature….. architecture….. the sun,….. the moon…. the stars. It is an abundance of wealth.
Expressing thanks in writing elevates the vibration of that thought. I love your cards and am touched when I receive one. How special, the thought that someone takes their precious time to bless me with a card!
Thanks for what you do, Sandy! It is a true blessing!
