A Simple Note Bring Humanity To World

In the News, Internet Tools, Networking, Sandy Morgan

Hearing that former President  Clinton flew into North Korea to meet with Kim Jong-il, I was was a bit  surprised. I wondered how that became possible. I got my answer today in an e-mail from Phillip Hulme, one of our card distributors:

Dee Dee Myers, press secretary under former President Bill Clinton, was interviewed this week. One of the questions was why Clinton was chosen to go on the mission to negotiate for the the release of the 2 American journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, who entered North Korean territory and had been held captive for 5 months.

It turns out that Bill Clinton had emerged as the top choice of the North Koreans because, when he was president, Clinton had sent Kim Jong-il a letter of condolence on the death of his father, Kim Il-sung, in 1994.
Apparently, Kim Jong-il felt that freeing the women was a “reciprocal humanitarian gesture” that he would agree to, since Bill Clinton had shown him such respect when his father died, even though there were no official diplomatic relations between the US and North Korea.

How amazing that a simple letter of condolence written 15 years ago would have that impact.

I think it this is very powerful message. If we would all just sit and think about this for a few minutes: what more could we do in our daily lives to be human with each other? What effects would that make for us today and in the years ahead? Could a thawing of diplomacy between the U.S. and North Korea have started because of a condolence letter? What simple actions can we take to do something similar to that simple act of humanity with our friends, coworkers, clients, and competitors?

It’s definitely something worthwhile to think about, isn’t it?

Testimony from Harvey MacKay

Business Building, Internet Tools, Marketing tips, Networking, Sending Cards

“Short handwritten cards yield long results. In sales, never underestimate the importance of the personal gesture, and right at the top of the list of effective personal gestures sits the handwritten card. Always send memorable cards and personal notes when you are reminded of a person.”

Networking Is Nothing New ~ Sandy Morgan

Comments, In the News, Networking, Sandy Morgan

Networking is helping each other succeed. It’s been going on forever. We share our knowledge and resources in hope that we can help others. It’s not something we just do at work. Friends as for places to find good deals on cars, lawyers and even where to get the best pizza in town! A school is a network, a club is a network as is a sports team.

Whether you’re a consumer, a CEO or a marketer, relationship marketing is the “in” thing to do. New sites are popping up all over. Join this network, join that network, get 5000 connection by joining this other network!

I’m beginning to wonder if we are focused to much on the number of people in our networks rather than what we can offer to help those we have networks with? How well do we know those 500 – 1000 in our Network?

Beside this blog, I wish to offer something for you to evaluate. Visit http://www.squidoo.com/send-out-cards-opportunity, think about your business and see if the system discussed could help you improve and develop your networking skills to get what you’re really striving  for in making those connections!

Happy Networking!

February: A Month Of Love, Hope & A Contest! ~ Jan Snook

Internet Tools, Sending Cards

February has specific importance to everyone. February 14th is a day for sweethearts. This year the 16th is set aside to celebrate President’s Day, even though George Washington was born on the 22nd, and Abraham Lincoln on the 12th. February is also Black History month, remembering many individuals who have molded America one way or another.

February has a special meaning to Don and me. We are approaching our 4th anniversary being involved with the greeting cards. It doesn’t seem it could be that long already. Yet, reviewing the number of cards we have sent shows me time does keep marching on, with the numbers increasing daily.

Sandy sure found a winner when she discovered the web-based card system! And I am the lucky one! She is so persistent! That is, however, what makes Sandy successful!

Here’s a contest! We always encourage others to give the cards a “Test Drive”! From now until March 31st, we challenge you to do a Gift Account, by clicking on the sites below. For anyone signing up to be a distributor or a wholesale customer on either site, we will send a special gift. Once you decide to sign up as a Distributor or wholesale customer at either site, a  bigger prize will be awarded!

It’s February; Is Love In The Air? ~Sandy Morgan

Internet Tools, Sandy Morgan, Sending Cards

February is known for Valentines Day! It’s the day we all, especially us females, expect flowers, candy and cards. So, come on guys, step up to the plate! You don’t even have to go to the store. Just point your Browser to www.greetingcardschangelives.com or www.jansfreecard4u.com, click the banner and follow the instructions to send a no cost card to that favorite person in your life! A word of caution though, don’t mention the card didn’t cost you a cent. The hearts sparkling in the recipient eyes may turn to daggers!

We women are not immune from this gesture. Those favorite men in our life need to feel appreciated just as much as we do, maybe more. So, take the same advice and send a card, too!
