Spring Brings Fresh Starts & Another Holiday ~ Jan Snook

Comments, Inspirational Stories, Internet Tools, Jan Snook

Spring came in like a lion this year for a majority of us in the USA. Guess Mother Nature didn’t think we  are ready for Daffodils just yet. Do we need to reflect a bit more on where we are as individuals and where we want to be?

One of our colleagues, Meghan Joy was just voted off American Idol this week. Simon told her it was because she had commented that she didn’t care. Sandy thinks Meghan cared a lot; a lot about her style of singing. Perhaps Meghan discovered that she wanted to sing her songs, her way. If that meant leaving Idol, so be it.

We do know that the freshness of another season is on it’s way. Are we ready to take a  look at our lives and evaluate whether we need to take a fresh start or a slight detour?

That can begin by reaching out to others. Easter is just a week away! Did you send out those cards yet or did you forget to buy them? We have your answer right here! No need to go to the store now. Just click on  http://greetingcardschangelives.com

February: A Month Of Love, Hope & A Contest! ~ Jan Snook

Internet Tools, Sending Cards

February has specific importance to everyone. February 14th is a day for sweethearts. This year the 16th is set aside to celebrate President’s Day, even though George Washington was born on the 22nd, and Abraham Lincoln on the 12th. February is also Black History month, remembering many individuals who have molded America one way or another.

February has a special meaning to Don and me. We are approaching our 4th anniversary being involved with the greeting cards. It doesn’t seem it could be that long already. Yet, reviewing the number of cards we have sent shows me time does keep marching on, with the numbers increasing daily.

Sandy sure found a winner when she discovered the web-based card system! And I am the lucky one! She is so persistent! That is, however, what makes Sandy successful!

Here’s a contest! We always encourage others to give the cards a “Test Drive”! From now until March 31st, we challenge you to do a Gift Account, by clicking on the sites below. For anyone signing up to be a distributor or a wholesale customer on either site, we will send a special gift. Once you decide to sign up as a Distributor or wholesale customer at either site, a  bigger prize will be awarded!

Time Keeps Passing Us By ~ Jan Snook

Independence, Internet Tools, Jan Snook

We are well into February already! Where are the weeks going? For those who keep up with our Blog, you have probably noticed Sandy has done quite a bit of blogging. I have been without a computer for practically an entire month. What a hassle that had been!

Thinking the problem was just a simple thing…maybe just my monitor needing to be replaced, I was sadly mistaken. That was not what happened, as the Mother Board went completely down.

Days went into weeks without a computer. Geez, how I hated to go to the local library once or twice a week! There was a frigid period during that time frame! It was definitely my living nightmare!

However, I did end up getting a new Dell system, and thanks to my niece Shelly, I now have my “Life-Line” up and running once again! I am a happy camper once again! I am sitting here enjoying seeing the sunshine outside and loving I won’t need to schedule bus rides to the library anytime soon!

I wonder how many of you take for granted the ability of using the telephone or just hop in your car to call or go somewhere? Both Sandy and I face challenges head on and deal with each situation the best we know how. Our computers ARE our link to the world. When we talk about our greeting card business, we know there are other individuals out there that could use the system, just as much as we do. We log in daily and write notes that will touch those we know may need encouragement or a friendly smile!

As Sandy just wrote a couple days ago, February 14th is approaching all too quickly. Why not click on either website and send an unexpected card to someone you are thinking about. Believe me…you will put a smile on their face!

News from Corporate Headquarters

In the News, Internet Tools, Sending Cards

NOTE FROM SANDY:  This is great news for card senders!  Now  we’ll  have even more features to use in designing our cards. The article mentions ’screen shots’  which I did not add here.

“Sending Cards Corporate Blog

OK, maybe “leaked” isn’t the correct term since we’re releasing these images with permission from management, but this is the first time the general public will have access to screenshots of the new card editor.

For those of you who don’t know, the card catalog interface and the new card editor have been re-done, tested, and we’d like to announce a big Card Editor Release Party! We’ve been spreading the word that the new editor will launch at the beginning of 2009, and we hope you’ll stay tuned for details so you can attend via your computer. We also want to highlight some of the new features that you’ll have access to in the near future:

The new card catalog will display more cards per page for quicker searches, includes a large pop-up view of the front and inside of cards for a detailed close-up before making your selection, and other features to help simplify your search for the perfect card!

The editor itself features an attractive, easy-to-use interface and offers a larger font selection, the ability to change the size, color, and alignment of individual text blocks instead of being applied to the entire card, and a built-in spell check to ensure your cards are pristine and professional.

Another exciting feature that we know many of you have been dying to use is the new versatility of the personal signature. In the new card editor, you’ll be able to add text after signatures (for all you “P.S.” people) and can change the size, color, and alignment of your signature just like any other block of text.

Adding pictures to your cards will be easier than ever. You can add anything from a full-bleed image across the card as we did in the screenshot above or you can select from other arrangements and add in your  images. We’ll even let you know the image quality of photos so you’ll know if an image is well-suited for printing or not.

The recipient page now looks just like an envelope to remind you that your card (or cards) are being stuffed, stamped, and mailed for you. Also, one of the most exciting features with the new card editor is how we’ve streamlined the process of sending a single card to multiple recipients. You won’t need to create a campaign card any longer, but can search through your contacts and simply put a “check” next to those whom you’d like to send your card.

Our final shot features the confirmation screen, where you’ll find the “Send Card” button. It will give you a detailed breakdown of the points and postage you’ll be using and even allows you to add points or postage on the spot so you don’t have to lose your work just because you forgot to add funds, and all this in the name of making your card sending experience as easy as we can. After all, our system is all about convenience.

Now this brings us back to the New Card Editor Release Party we’ll be hosting in 2009, which you can attend online. It will be broadcasted LIVE, here at the home office in Salt Lake City, and we need YOU to spread the word to your organization.

As Sponsors of Heal Yourself Talk Radio, Our Commercial Aired

Creative Cards, In the News, Internet Tools, Patch Adams Interview, Talk Radio

This is our commercial, as aired:

On behalf of Sandy Morgan and Jan Snook, I am delighted to conduct this Radio Announcement.

Sandy Morgan and Jan Snook, both having cerebral palsy, are working together to build a successful partnership as Independent Distributors with a web-based greeting card company. This web-based greeting card business.

These greeting cards are sent though the U.S. postal service! People are receiving cards by mail! With all the sophisticated technology of the 21st century you listeners may still be thinking we’re talking about the E-Card, so famous to computer users. Cards generated by this service are definitely NOT E-Cards! These cards are Real, stamped and mailed cards that allows anyone to keep in contact with internet friends, family and clients as well as others who may not so computer savvy.

With the click of your mouse, you can choose a card from well over 12,000, type your message, and send it on. The company, based in Utah, does the licking, stuffing, stamping and mailing while you sit at your desktop!

Many businesses have started using this system due to its many features. A handwriting font can be made from a person’s own handwriting.

The Contact Manager can be set up with reminders of birthdays, employment anniversaries and other important dates. The system shoots a reminder to send a card 7 days before the birthday or anniversary. Never forget a special event again!

Business people love the customization feature of Sending Cards via this system. Logos can be placed on cards just by taking picture of it with a camera. Gift Cards from major stores (Starbucks, Wal-Mart, Old Navy, etc), restaurants and other food goodies can be included when sending your card. It’s like one stop shopping from your home!

Campaigns, such as a Grand Opening Sale or Holiday Greetings can be set up weeks and months in advance with our Campaign Manager. Just specify the date to send and forget it!

Whether you’re a consumer, a CEO or a marketer, sending cards will enhance your business and personal relationships. Send a Card Today!

Glimpses of our Creative Cards

Creative Cards, Internet Tools, Jan Snook

So far you have seen glimpses of what our cards look like. If you haven’t, click on the “Creative Cards” category on the right.

….. But do you actually understand these greeting cards are sent though the U.S. postal service?  People are receiving cards by mail!  With all the sophisticated technology of the 21st century you readers may still be thinking we’re talking about the “cutesy E-Card”, so famous to computer users.  Cards generated by this service are definitely NOT E-Cards! These cards are Real, stamped and mailed cards that allows anyone to keep in contact with grandparents as well as other relatives who may not so computer savvy.

You are looking at the cards from a web-based card service company, located in Utah. Yet I sent this particular greeting for my friend Claudia as I sat at my computer at home (see Creative Cards).  Awesome, huh?

You can include photos on a custom card, which I decided to do for this birthday card.  This is a popular feature by all that use the system!

With the click of your mouse, you can choose a card from well over 12,000, type your message, as I did for Claudia’s surprise party, and send it on.  The company in Utah does the rest!

What is really nice about this is that I can have birthday and anniversary reminders for each person I have in my Contact List. I am reminded to send a card 7 days before someone has a birthday or anniversary.  I love knowing that I will never forget a special event again!

Do you like to include something in the card you send? No problem!  Gift Cards from major stores (Starbucks, Wal-Mart, Old Navy, even American Express) and food goodies can be included when sending your card. It’s like one stop shopping from your home!

Many of my friends have come to me, asking “How can I do this?”  In no time they have become a customer!  And love it!!

If this interests you, please don’t hesitate to contact us by commenting on this post or sending a free card at my demo site  at http://www.sendoutcards.com/3721!
